The first steps to the next-gen consoles
The Nintendo 64 was the first console to feature both 3D graphics for the software part and the analog stick for the hardware one.
Even tho it was quite hard to use because of its location on the center of the controller, it became the standard for movements, camera angles and much more. A pionner before the 2000's !
Everybody want a Nintendo 64!
A short, funny story: many celebrities have tried to get a console only a few days after it was released to the market. And we're not talking about some local celebrities. More like, Steven Spielberg, that kind.
The demand was so high, it was sometimes hard to get your hands on a Nintendo 64, so many people have tried to take advantage of their popularity to get one.
By the way, before rising to a 400 and more game library, the console only had a couple games available: Super Mario 64 and Pilot Wings 64. Little did we know how far its popularity goes, with the latest game ever released, Tony Hawk Pro Skater in 2002.
